Vaynakshu mevakshei nafshi vedoreshei ro'osi dibberu havvvos umirmos kol-hayyom yehgu
And those who seek my life lay traps, and those who wish me harm speak of destruction, and utter deceit all day long.
Va'ani checheireish lo eshmo uche'illeim lo yiftach-piv
But I am like a deaf [man], I do not hear, and like a mute, who does not open his mouth.
Vo'ehi ke'ish asher lo-shomeia' ve'ein befiv tochochos
Thus I became like a man who does not understand, in whose mouth there are no rebuttals.
Ki-lecho adonai hocholeti attoh sa'aneh adonai elohai
For I wait for You, O LORD; You will answer, O Lord, my God.
Ki-omarti pen-yismechu-li bemot ragli olai higdilu
For I said: "Lest they rejoice over me; when my foot slipps, they magnify themselves over me."
Ki-ani letzela nochon umach'ovi negdi somid
For I am prepared to fall, and my sorrow is continually before me.
