To the conductor, a song of David.
ʿad–ʾono ʾadoonoy tishkocheyniy netzach ʿad–ʾono tastiyr ʾes–pponeycho mimmenniy
How long, O LORD? Will You ignore me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?
ʿad–ʾono ʾoshiys ʿeytzos benafshiy yogon bilvoviy yomom ʿad–ʾono yorum ʾoyeviy ʿoloy
How long must I seek counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy have the upper hand over me?
habbiyto ʿaneyniy ʾadoonoy ʾelohoy hoʾiyro ʿeynay pen–ʾiyshan hammoves
Look at me, answer me, O LORD, my God! Lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
pen–yomar ʾoyeviy yecholtiyv tzoray yogiylu kiy ʾemmot
lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed against him,” my foes rejoice when I waver.
vaʾaniy bechasdecho votachtiy yogeyl libbiy biyshuʿosecho ʾoshiyro ladoonoy kiy gomal ʿoloy
But I trust in Your loving-kindness, my heart will rejoice in Your salvation; I will sing to the LORD for He has made all my tribulations bear ripe fruit.
