עַל־מֶ֤ה ׀ נִאֵ֖ץ רָשָׁ֥ע ׀ אֱלֹהִ֑ים אָמַ֥ר בְּ֝לִבּ֗וֹ לֹ֣א תִדְרֹֽשׁ
ʿal–meh niʾeytz roshoʿʾelohiym ʾomar belibbo loʾ sidrosh
Why should the wicked man mock God, He says in his heart, "You will not seek".
רָאִ֡תָה כִּי־אַתָּ֤ה ׀ עָ֘מָ֤ל וָכַ֨עַס ׀ תַּבִּיט֮ לָתֵ֢ת בְּיָ֫דֶ֥ךָ עָ֭לֶיךָ יַעֲזֹ֣ב חֵלֵ֑כָה יָ֝ת֗וֹם אַתָּ֤ה ׀ הָיִ֬יתָ עוֹזֵֽר
roʾiso kiyʾatto ʿomol vochaʿas tabbiyt loseys beyodecho ʿoleycho yaʿazov cheyleycho yosom ʾatto hoyiyso ʿozeyr
For You have indeed seen it; You take note of trouble and grief, to requite them with Your hand; To You the halpless can entrust himself; You have ever been the orphan’s help.
שְׁ֭בֹר זְר֣וֹעַ רָשָׁ֑ע וָ֝רָ֗ע תִּֽדְרוֹשׁ־רִשְׁע֥וֹ בַל־תִּמְצָֽא
shevor zeroaʿ roshoʿ voroʿ tidrosh–rishʿo val–ttimtzoʾ
O break the power of the wicked and evil man, so that when You "look for" his wickedness You will find it no more.
יְהֹוָ֣ה מֶ֭לֶךְ עוֹלָ֣ם וָעֶ֑ד אָבְד֥וּ ג֝וֹיִ֗ם מֵאַרְצֽוֹ
ʾadoonoy melech ʿolom voʿed ʾovedu goyim meyʾartzo
The LORD is King for ever and ever; even the nations shall perish from His earth.
תַּאֲוַ֬ת עֲנָוִ֣ים שָׁמַ֣עְתָּ יְהֹוָ֑ה תָּכִ֥ין לִ֝בָּ֗ם תַּקְשִׁ֥יב אׇזְנֶֽךָ
taʾavas ʿanoviym shomaʿto ʾadoonoy tochiyn libbom takshiyv ʾoznecho
The desire of the humble You have heard, O LORD; may You prepare their hearts, may You incline Your ear
לִשְׁפֹּ֥ט יָת֗וֹם וָ֫דָ֥ךְ בַּל־יוֹסִ֥יף ע֑וֹד לַעֲרֹ֥ץ אֱ֝נ֗וֹשׁ מִן־הָאָֽרֶץ
lishpot yosom vodoch bal–yosiyf ʿod laʿarotz ʾenosh min–hoʾoretz
to champion the orphan and the oppressed, that men who are of the earth tyrannize no more.
