Mizmor 007, Verse 018

אוֹדֶ֣ה יְהֹוָ֣ה כְּצִדְק֑וֹ וַ֝אֲזַמְּרָ֗ה שֵֽׁם־יְהֹוָ֥ה עֶלְיֽוֹן

ʾodeh ʾadoonoy ketzidko vaʾazammero sheym–ʾadoonoy ʿelyon

I will praise the LORD for His righteousness, and sing a hymn to the name of the LORD Most High.

MIDRASH TEHILLIM

1.....(7.12)
Rabbi Joshua son of Levi said, Whenever you find a Psalm describing the downfall of the wicked, words of thanksgiving come before the Psalm, and words of thanksgiving after it.

RASHI

1.
I will praise the LORD for His righteousness...
When He executes strict justice with righteousness, to judge the wicked according to their wickedness.

RADAK

1.
...And I will sing praises to the Name of the Lord Most High
for He is Most High over all, and rules over all, and will deal with His creatures according to His good pleasure.

Rabbi HIRSCH

1.
[אוֹדֶ֣ה] (ʾodeh)
“I will acknowledge the fact that the Lord is God indeed. I wish to do Him homage [כְּצִדְק֑וֹ] (ketzidko), in accordance with His righteousness. That is, in the manner in which He exercises His righteousness in His wisdom and not in the way in which I erroneously sought to request it in my folly.
2.
vaʾazammero sheym–ʾadoonoy ʿelyon
And henceforth I shall joyously proclaim the Name of the Lord in my songs, for He is also “God’ even though he is [עֶלְיֽוֹן] (elyon), even though His Sovereignty from on high is now unnoticed by the ordinary eye.”
