Mizmor 005, Verse 002

אֲמָרַ֖י הַאֲזִ֥ינָה ׀ יְהוָ֗ה בִּ֣ינָה הֲגִֽיגִי

ʾamoray haʾaziyno ʾadonoy biyno hagiygiy

Give ear to my words, O LORD; consider my meditation.

MIDRASH TEHILLIM

Rabbi Johanan taught, Whenever the words poor and needy occur in Tanakh, they refer to the children of Israel, as in the verse:
"The poor and the needy seek water, but there is none; ... I, the LORD, will answer them, I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them." (Yeshayahu - Isaiah 41:17)
Accordingly, David said to God, Master of the Universe, when i have strength enough to stand up in prayer before You and to utter my words, give ear, but when I do not have enough strength, consider what is in my heart, consider my meditation.

RADAK

Give ear to what I utter with my mouth and consider what I meditate in my heart. Therefore he uses the word consider with meditation, and give ear to with my words. He uses (the term) הגיגי ("my meditation"), which is derived from הגה by doubling the second radical, just as (in the verse) "for the lightning (חזיז) of the thunder" (Job 38:25), (where חזיז is derived) from חזה.

Are those thoughts that have already become clear enough to be expressed in words.
[הֲגִֽיגִי] (hagiygiy)
Is thinking that is still in the meditative stage.
[הַאֲזִ֥ינָה] (haʾaziyno)
[אֹזֶן] (ozen) - an ear/;
and [מֹאזנַיִים] (MOZNAIM) - is a scale;
[אָזַן] (azan) - to weight, to ponder;
Thus AZONIM - are the two scales for the examining and critical weighing of the spoken word.
haʾaziyn - is to incline the ear for such critical acceptance.
