Of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

MIDRASH TEHILLIM

1.....(27.1)
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
"And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light. And God saw the light that it was good, and God separated between the light and between the darkness." (Bereshit - Genesis 1:3-4)

RADAK

And he said: "Light" because trouble is like darkness and salvation from it is light.

Rabbi HIRSCH

1.
...whom shall I fear?
“If, of course, I were to derive my attitudes and principles only from my own mind, then I would indeed fear everyone who surpasses me in intelligence and will-power"
