Make your ear attentive, for the verb (הקשׁיבה) is transitive. And so it is written (Mishlei - Proverbs 2:2): " to incline (להקשׁיב) ypur ear unto wisdom";
הַקְשִׁ֤יבָה ׀ לְק֬וֹל שַׁוְעִ֗י מַלְכִּ֥י וֵאלֹהָ֑י כִּֽי־אֵ֝לֶ֗יךָ אֶתְפַּלָּֽל
hakshiyvo lekol shavʿiy malkiy veylohoy kiyʾeyleycho ʾespallol
Give heed to the voice of my cry, my King and God, for unto You do i pray.

[הַקְשִׁ֤יבָה] (hakshiyvo)
[קָשַׁב] (qashab) - denotes the attention awakened by the sounds penetrating the ear, anxiety to hear more, hearkening.
David beseeches God's nearness in all the impulses of his soul — in his speech, his thinking and in his prayers. The Lord is his “King” and his “God”. It is He that determines his position in life; it is to Him that all of David's existence and all his aspirations belong. Therefore David asks that the Lord, as his “King”, be near him when he prays, and that, as his “God", He also be near unto him in his speech and thoughts.
